TOLEDO, Ohio – The RMU Volleyball team dropped its final match of the Rocket Invitational against Toledo on Sunday afternoon. The Colonials now turn their attention to the Chick-fil-A Pittsburgh Volleyball Classic, which opens their 2025 home slate next weekend at the UPMC Events Center.
KEY SET MOMENTS
- Set 1: RMU capitalized on early Toledo errors to build an 11-8 advantage. The Rockets responded with a 6-0 run and never looked back, hitting a match-high 16 kills to take the opener, 25-17.
- Set 2: The Colonials put together their strongest offensive frame, highlighted by Jocelyn Jourdan's five kills, including three straight in the stanza. A thunderous block from sophomore Keira Hornung sparked RMU early, but Toledo closed the set on a 9-3 run for a 25-18 win.
- Set 3: Despite seven service errors from the Rockets, RMU's offense struggled to gain traction. Trailing 14-10, the Colonials surrendered four straight points as Toledo pulled away to secure the match with a 25-19 decision.
