MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – In a renewal of their long-standing rivalry, the Dayton Flyers (1-1) will travel to Joe Walton Stadium to face Robert Morris (1-2) on September 20th.
 
DAYTON LATELY                        
Dayton shut out Thomas More with a dominant 38-0 victory on September 13. After a scoreless first quarter, Dayton's offense came alive, scoring 14 points in the second quarter and continuing to build their lead throughout the rest of the game. Dayton's defense was equally impressive, preventing Thomas More from scoring any points. Vincent Firenze is the reigning PFL Defensive Player of the Week.
 
THE SERIES                    
This matchup marks the 24th meeting between the two schools in a series that dates back to 1996, with Dayton holding a 20-3 all-time record over RMU.
 
LAST TIME OUT                          
Dayton edged out Robert Morris 22-20 on September 3, 2022. Dayton took an early lead with two field goals, but Robert Morris responded with two touchdowns to go ahead 14-6 in the second quarter. However, Dayton dominated the third quarter, scoring 16 unanswered points, which was enough to hold on for the victory despite a late touchdown from Robert Morris in the final quarter.

After a bye week, the nonconference schedule concludes on October 4 at Merrimack. The NEC slate begins with defending champion Central Connecticut State on October 11 at Joe Walton Stadium.
