MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's soccer team is set to return to the North Athletic Complex for their fourth home game of the season, hosting Bowling Green this Thursday, September 4 at 4:00 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with commentary provided by Spencer Witt.
A RETURN TO THE NAC
RMU (2-2) is coming off its first road trip of the season, a 2-0 defeat at Eastern Michigan. In that match, junior goalkeeper
Emma Cameron made a career-high 10 saves.
So far this year, sophomore
Madison Hurst has a team-high two goals, both of which were game-winners scored against USI and Canisius. Freshman
Sydney Chontos owns the other goal this year, a career-first for her.
Bailey Campbell,
Ivy Chaskelson, and
Paloma Swankler have all recorded one assist, while senior captain
Jillian Marvin had a two-assist game against USI, a performance that earned her Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week honors.
In net, Cameron has started all four contests, collecting two wins, two clean sheets, and 18 saves.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. BOWLING GREEN
Thursday's match marks only the fourth time these two programs have met. Bowling Green holds a 3-0 record over the Colonials, with wins in 1997, 1998, and most recently in 2017.
SCOUTING THE FALCONS
Bowling Green (3-1-1) enters this week after a scoreless draw against Cincinnati. Before that, the Falcons secured victories against Horizon League opponents Oakland, Cleveland State, and Detroit Mercy. Their one loss was a 1-0 defeat to Illinois.
Through five games, forwards Ellie Pool and Emma Stransky each have a team-high two goals, while midfielder Michelle Hochstadt leads the team with two assists. Stransky ranked second on the team in points last year with four goals and two assists. In net, sophomore Payton O'Malley has appeared in all five games, earning three wins, two clean sheets, and 21 saves.
Last season, Bowling Green finished with a 7-7-4 overall record and a 4-4-3 mark in MAC play. Their season ended in the first round of the MAC Tournament with a 1-0 loss to Ohio.
COMMON OPPONENTS
Both teams will face off against several common opponents this season, including Oakland, Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Duquesne, and Eastern Michigan.

The Colonials will head back out on the road to play in Loretto, Pa., to take on the Saint Francis Red Flash. The game is scheduled for Sunday, September 7 at 1:00 p.m.
