Robert Morris Men’s Basketball Continues Road Trip at Cleveland State

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Robert Morris (15-10, 7-7 HL) travels to the Wolstein Center this Thursday, February 12, for their first meeting of the season against Cleveland State (10-15, 6-8 HL). The 7p.m. tip-off on ESPN+ marks the beginning of a home-and-home series that will conclude in Moon Township on the final day of the regular season.
 
RMU LATELY        
Robert Morris holds a 16–10 overall record and an 8–7 mark in Horizon League play following a 72–66 win at Youngstown State on Saturday. DeSean Goode led the team with 24 points and seven rebounds, while Ryan Prather Jr. added 16 points and six assists. RMU has won five of its last seven games and is  6-7 on the road this season.
 
CLEVELAND STATE LATELY               
Cleveland State is 10–15 overall and 6–8 in Horizon League play following an 82–74 road loss at IU Indy on Saturday. The loss snapped a season-high five-game winning streak for the Vikings. Prior to that, CSU set a program record with 17 3-pointers in a 91–78 win over Oakland on February 4.
 
RMU AND CLEVELAND STATE HISTORY         
Robert Morris and Cleveland State first met in 1977 and played annually until 1983. Following a 26-year hiatus, the teams resumed the series in 2009. Cleveland State leads the all-time series 18–8, though Robert Morris snapped a long losing streak in their most recent meeting. The Colonials' victory last February at the Wolstein Center was a significant milestone, as it ended an 11-game losing streak to the Vikings that dated back to 2013. Prior to that win, RMU had not defeated Cleveland State since joining the Horizon League in 2020. Cleveland State holds a 9–1 advantage in Horizon League contests and an 11–4 record in games played in Cleveland.
 
RMU AND CLEVELAND STATE LAST TIME OUT           
Robert Morris earned a landmark 68–59 victory at the Wolstein Center on February 12, 2025, snapping an 11-game losing streak to Cleveland State. The Colonials overcame a 30–26 halftime deficit by holding the Vikings to just 29 second-half points and a season-low 12.5% shooting from three-point range. Amarion Dickerson led all scorers with 21 points, while Alvaro Folgueiras recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. RMU dominated the interior with a 39–32 rebounding advantage, securing their first win on Cleveland State's home floor in over 15 years.

UP NEXT
Robert Morris returns to the UPMC Events Center to host Oakland on Sunday, February 15, 2026, for a 2 p.m. tip-off. Following the home game against the Golden Grizzlies, the Colonials will play a nationally televised contest against Wright State on Sunday, February 22, 2026. That matchup at the Nutter Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
