A LOOK BACK AT 2025
RMU is coming off one of the most successful seasons in program history under Head Coach
Jexx Varner. The Colonials captured their first Horizon League title, going undefeated in the conference tournament, and earned their first NCAA Regional appearance since 2005.
The team finished 30-18 overall and 16-7 in Horizon League play. Offensively, RMU rewrote the record book, setting new program marks in home runs (50), RBIs (258), doubles (79) and stolen bases (74), establishing itself as one of the most explosive lineups in the conference.
KEY RETURNERS
Redshirt senior
Courtney Poulich returns after a historic 2025 campaign. The Greensburg, Pa., native shattered multiple individual records, including home runs in a game (3), home runs in a season (16), RBIs in a season (53) and runs scored in a season (45). Poulich earned Horizon League First Team honors and was named Horizon League Tournament MVP after blasting three home runs and driving in five runs during the championship run.
The Colonials also welcome back Horizon League Co-Freshman of the Year
Mary Brant. Brant totaled 39 RBIs, 11 home runs, two walk-off hits, and posted a .368 batting average with a .420 on-base percentage in her standout debut season.
Two All-Horizon League Second Team selections also return in
Kaylyn Hopf and
Kaitlyn Molitoris. Hopf, the team's leadoff hitter, recorded a .365 average and .419 on-base percentage in 2025. In the circle, Molitoris compiled a 3.75 ERA and earned nine wins.
RMU also adds a major piece in
