MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Robert Morris returns to the UPMC Events Center this Sunday, February 15, for a matinee matchup against Oakland. The contest is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. tip-off and will be broadcast live on SportsNet Pittsburgh.
 
RMU LATELY       
Robert Morris holds a 17–10 overall record and a 9–7 mark in Horizon League play following a dominant 85–68 victory at Cleveland State on February 12. The Colonials have now won three consecutive games and six of their last eight.
 
OAKLAND LATELY             
Oakland enters Sunday's matchup with a 14–12 overall record and a 10–5 mark in Horizon League play. The Golden Grizzlies are looking to bounce back after a tough week, having dropped two straight games including an 86–82 home loss to Youngstown State on February 12.
 
RMU AND OAKLAND HISTORY       
The series between Robert Morris and Oakland dates back to 2001, when the two programs first met at the Sewell Center, followed by three additional non-conference matchups prior to RMU joining the Horizon League in 2020. Oakland currently holds an 11–5 lead in the all-time series, including a 7–4 advantage in Horizon League regular-season contests, though the Colonials enjoyed a historic run last season by sweeping the Golden Grizzlies in the regular season and defeating them a third time in the Horizon League semifinals. While RMU secured victories of 79–71 and 73–71 during that 2024–25 campaign, Oakland claimed the upper hand in the most recent meeting earlier this season with a 96–73 win at the OU Credit Union O'rena on January 4, 2026.
 
RMU AND OAKLAND LAST TIME OUT           
In the first meeting of the current season on January 4, 2026, Oakland protected its home court with a commanding 96–73 victory at the OU Credit Union O'rena. The Golden Grizzlies took control early, leading 51–40 at the half, and eventually pushed their advantage to as many as 31 points in the second frame.
 
Oakland's offense was powered by a career-high 30 points from Isaac Garrett, who finished a perfect 16-of-16 from the free-throw line, and 21 points from Tuburu Naivalurua. RMU's DeSean Goode led the Colonials with 18 points and 8 rebounds.
 
UP NEXT
Following the against the Golden Grizzlies, the Colonials will play a nationally televised contest against Wright State on Sunday, February 22, 2026. That matchup at the Nutter Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
