Robert Morris is surging into the postseason as winners of six straight games, capped by a 73-62 victory over Detroit Mercy on Wednesday where Ryan Prather Jr. exploded for a career-high 29 points. This win marked the program's 20th victory of the year, the first time the Colonials have achieved back-to-back 20-win seasons since the 2013-14 and 2014-15 campaigns. Having won eight of their last ten contests, RMU enters their regular-season finale with significant momentum before hosting their tournament opener on March 4.
 
CLEVELAND STATE LATELY               
Cleveland State enters the upcoming matchup in a difficult stretch, having lost six consecutive games since February 7. This slide is a sharp reversal of their previous form, as the Vikings had won five straight games immediately prior to this losing streak. Despite the team's recent struggles, sophomore forward Dayan Nessah remains a dominant force in the Horizon League; he currently ranks in the top ten across several major categories, including scoring (8th at 15.5 ppg), rebounding (7th at 6.4 rpg), and field goal percentage (2nd at .553).
 
RMU AND CLEVELAND STATE HISTORY         
The all-time series between Robert Morris and Cleveland State has historically been controlled by the Vikings, who hold a 17-9 overall lead and a 7-2 advantage in Horizon League play. Cleveland State has also found significant success on the road, winning 11 of the 16 games played in Moon Township. However, the momentum has recently shifted in favor of the Colonials, who have now won the last two matchups in the series. This includes their most recent victory on February 12.
 
RMU AND CLEVELAND STATE LAST TIME OUT           
On February 12, Ryan Prather Jr. tied his then-career-high with 25 points to lead Robert Morris to an 85-68 road victory over Cleveland State, marking the Colonials' largest margin of victory in the history of the series. The dominant 17-point win featured double-digit contributions from Darius Livingston and DeSean Goode with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Robert Morris is set to host a first-round matchup for the 2026 Barbasol Horizon League Basketball Championships on Wednesday, March 4, at the UPMC Events Center. The final seeding and the full tournament bracket will be officially determined this Saturday evening after the conclusion of the final regular-season games across the conference.
