MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Nikolaos Chitikoudis has earned his first-ever Horizon League Player of the Week honor after leading the Colonials to a perfect 2-0 stretch. Chitikoudis averaged a double-double with 15.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. His week began with a 13-point, 12-rebound performance in a win over Detroit Mercy, followed by an 18-point, 10-rebound, and four-assist showing in a victory over Cleveland State.
 
As the No. 2 seed, RMU will host No. 9 seed Youngstown State (15-16, 8-12 HL) on Wednesday, March 4, at the UPMC Events Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. The winner will advance to the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis for the remainder of the 2026 Barbasol Horizon League Men's Basketball Championship.
