INDIANAPOLIS – Junior catcher Aglaia Rudd has been named the Under Armour #HLSB Player of the Week for the second time this season, following a dominant performance in RMU's sweep over Green Bay.
 
Rudd was nearly unstoppable at the plate, going 8-for-11 (.727) with a .750 on-base percentage and a staggering 1.455 slugging percentage. She tallied a team-high six RBI and blasted two home runs across the three-game set.
 
Her impact was felt most in clutch moments. In game two, Rudd delivered a walk-off double in the bottom of the fifth inning to secure a run-rule victory. She followed that up in game three by breaking a 5-5 tie with a go-ahead home run, lifting RMU to a 7-5 win. In the series finale, she recorded her second multi-home run performance of the season.
 
Through 21 games, the Greenfield, Ind. native leads the Colonials in batting average (.613), hits (38), doubles (9), slugging percentage (1.194) and on-base percentage (.627). She has also compiled 24 runs scored, nine home runs and 25 RBI.
 
Nationally, Rudd continues to rank among the elite hitters in the country. She sits second in batting average, fourth in slugging percentage and fifth in on-base percentage. Additionally, she ranks first in the nation as the toughest player to strike out and is one of just two players in the country—among those who have appeared in at least 75% of their team's games—who have yet to strike out this season.
 
RMU has now earned Player of the Week honors in each of the five weeks it has competed this season. Courtney Poulich, Mary Brant and Eloise Facher join Rudd as recipients of the award.
 
Up next, the Colonials travel to Rochester, Mich. for a three-game Horizon League series at Oakland. Game one is scheduled for Friday, March 27 at 3:00 PM, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, March 28 beginning at 12:00 PM. All three games will stream live on ESPN+.
