MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Due to recent weather in the area creating unsafe river conditions, Saturday's contest against West Virginia and Marietta College has been canceled.
 
The RMU women's rowing team will now open up the spring season in Cherry Hill, N.J., as the Colonials will compete in the Knecht Cup Regatta on April 11 and 12. The Colonials will race on the Cooper River.
 
The Knecht Cup Regatta originated in 1999 with William J. (Bill) Knecht establishing the rowing course that has become one of the most sought-after rowing courses in the country. Over 90 collegiate-level rowing programs compete during the weekend of competition, including 40 events named after legends in the rowing community.
