RMU LATELY
RMU (19-13, 6-6 #HLSB) is coming off a historic midweek showing at Akron, where the Colonials split the series but rewrote the program record book.
In a 27-7 victory in five innings, RMU set single-game program records in runs (27), RBIs (24) and hits (22). The offensive explosion also pushed the Colonials to new single-season program records in both runs scored and RBIs. Surpassing the 1997 team's mark of 293 runs, the 2026 squad now sits at 294 and counting, while also eclipsing last season's RBI total of 258 with 269 on the year.
Individually,
Courtney Poulich continues to etch her name in RMU history. After setting the single-season RBI record (53) in 2025, she surpassed that mark with six RBIs at Akron and now owns a new program record with 56 on the season.
Aglaia Rudd also delivered a career performance in the win, driving in a personal-best seven RBIs. That total ties the RMU single-game program record, becoming just the fourth player in program history to reach the mark, joining Poulich (2025), Olivia Lorusso (2016) and Kali Byers (2005).
Through 32 games, Rudd leads the Colonials in batting average (.554), hits (51), doubles (11), on-base percentage (.589) and slugging percentage (1.065). Poulich paces the team with 53 runs, 18 home runs and 56 RBIs. Senior
Katlyn Jardine has drawn 21 walks, while freshman
Alivia Hare has added 10 stolen bases.
In the circle,
Madison Brown leads the staff with a 5.55 ERA and six wins, while junior
Kaitlyn Molitoris also owns six victories to go along with 78 strikeouts, one shutout and four complete games.
NCAA LEADERS
RMU continues to rank among the top offensive teams in the country, with several individuals appearing near the top of national leaderboards.
Rudd ranks first in the nation as the toughest hitter to strike out and is one of just two players nationally yet to record a strikeout this season. She also sits third in batting average (.554), sixth in slugging percentage (1.065) and 10th in on-base percentage (.589).
Poulich leads the nation in runs per game (1.66), ranks second in RBIs per game (1.75), fifth in home runs per game (0.56) and seventh in slugging percentage (1.060).
As a team, RMU ranks fourth nationally in scoring (9.19 runs per game), sixth in slugging percentage (.649), seventh in home runs per game (1.91) and eighth in batting average (.362).
