BOSTON, Mass. – RMU women's hockey forward Jessica MacKinnon has been named to the 2026-27 Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) Preseason All-Conference Team.
 
The Clarks Harbour, Nova Scotia, native is coming off a successful sophomore campaign in which she was named to the All-AHA First Team and earned Best Defensive Forward honors.
 
MacKinnon played in all 36 games for the Colonials, recording 15 goals, 26 assists and 41 points. She led RMU in points, assists and power-play goals (5). Throughout the season, she was named a Forward of the Month once and a Forward of the Week three times.
 
Among AHA players, MacKinnon ranked second in points, second in assists and tied for fourth in power-play goals. She led the conference with 519 faceoff wins, a mark that ranked fourth nationally.
 
MacKinnon also came through in a big moment during the AHA First Round, scoring the game-winning goal in overtime against Delaware to help the Colonials advance. She finished the 2025-26 campaign with 111 shots, 17 blocked shots and a 62.9% faceoff win percentage.
 
Off the ice, MacKinnon was named to the AHA All-Academic Team and was also recognized as an AHCA/Krampade All-American Scholar.
 
According to the preseason poll, RMU captain Alaina Giampietro and alternate captain Maggie Hatch also received votes for the Preseason All-Conference Team.
 
Giampietro was named AHA Rookie of the Year during the 2023-24 season and earned a spot on the All-USCHO Rookie Team. Hatch is coming off her third consecutive season being named to the Hockey Commissioners Association Goalie of the Year Watch List.
