BOSTON, Mass. – RMU women's hockey forward Greta Brezenski was named the Atlantic Hockey America Forward of the Week following a standout performance in the Colonials' season-opening series against Post.
 
Brezenski recorded four goals, two assists and six points in the two-game series against the Eagles. In the season opener, she turned in the best debut in program history, scoring a natural hat trick and adding two assists for five points. She became the first Colonial to record a hat trick in her debut, while her performance marked the 22nd hat trick and fifth natural hat trick in program history.
 
In game two, Brezenski once again found the scoresheet, scoring RMU's lone goal in the final five minutes of regulation to force overtime.
 
The junior forward from Waunakee, Wis., now has seven goals, four assists and 11 points through two games this season. The weekly honor marks the first of her career.
 
Last season, RMU earned eight Player of the Week awards and two Player of the Month honors.
 
Up next, the Colonials hit the road to begin Atlantic Hockey America play at Penn State. Game one of the two-game series is set for Friday, October 2 at 6:00 p.m., with the series finale scheduled for Saturday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m.
