INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – RMU men's soccer junior forward Anelson Azard was named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week following a standout performance in the Colonials' 2-0 victory at St. Bonaventure on Friday.
 
Azard powered the Colonials to victory with a first-half brace, finding the back of the net in the 19th and 38th minutes. His second goal came off a cross from redshirt sophomore Filip Jeppesen, who recorded his first career assist for RMU. Azard's two-goal performance helped RMU secure its third win in its last four matches and extend its unbeaten streak to four games.
 
The performance marked Azard's first two goals as a Colonial and his first game-winning goal for RMU. It also marked the sixth game-winning goal of his career.
 
The Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, native has made an immediate impact in his third game with the Colonials. He now owns 19 career goals and five assists across 38 games, while his two goals against the Bonnies helped RMU improve to 3-1-1 overall through five matches.
 
Azard's honor marks RMU's first Horizon League weekly award of the 2026 season. The Colonials' 3-1-1 start is their strongest five-match opening since 2023.
 
RMU will open Horizon League play Wednesday, traveling to Detroit Mercy for a 3:00 PM kickoff.
