In celebration of the return of the RMU men’s and women’s hockey programs next season, a fan vote has been established to recognize the rich history of both teams.
Voting will begin Friday, November 11, and will run through Friday, December 2. The all-time teams will be announced the week of December 12.
“RMU women’s hockey has storied tradition with many amazing student athletes,” RMU women’s hockey head coach Logan Bittle said. “The naming of our all-time team is a fun and exciting way to interact with our fan base and have them express who they feel deserves to be honored.”
There will be 37 players who represent each ballot, with a write-in vote available. Current college hockey players are not eligible to be voted for.
“With the relaunch of our program less than a year away, we wanted to honor the history of RMU Hockey and what better way to do that by involving the fans of Colonial hockey,” RMU men’s hockey head coach Derek Schooley said. “There are a lot of good choices and I am eagerly awaiting to see who the public feels are the “best of the best.”
