P3R Track & Field Complex

The P3R Track & Field Complex, located at the RMU Island Sports Center on Neville Island, serves as the primary training and competition home for the Robert Morris University men’s and women’s cross country and track & field programs. On May 8, 2024, RMU Athletics announced a three-year extension of its naming rights partnership with P3R—the organization behind the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon—ensuring the facility remains the P3R Track & Field Complex through June 2027.

Since the beginning of the partnership in 2021, the complex has hosted multiple NCAA Division I competitions and serves as a state-of-the-art hub for collegiate athletics. The facility features an eight-lane, all-weather synthetic surface and specialized areas for high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, and throwing events. The continued investment from P3R has allowed the venue to maintain elite standards for both daily training and high-stakes collegiate meets.

Beyond RMU Athletics, the facility has gained significant national and community prominence. In the summer of 2023, the complex received national exposure while hosting events in conjunction with the 2023 National Senior Games in Pittsburgh. Additionally, P3R utilizes the venue to host multiple youth and community events each year, including the Kids of STEEL Fest and Youth MOVE Day, fostering a passion for fitness and movement in the next generation of Pittsburgh athletes.

This partnership highlights a shared commitment between Robert Morris University and P3R to promote health and wellness throughout the region. By providing a world-class environment for student-athletes and the local community alike, the P3R Track & Field Complex stands as one of the premier outdoor athletic venues in Western Pennsylvania.
