The 2024 season is the second for David Rosen with the RMU football program, as he serves as the Director of Football Operations.

Rosen joined the Colonials after spending the 2022 season as chief of staff and director of football operations at Fairmont State. During his time with the Fighting Falcons, Rosen managed all recruiting and played a significant role with the head coach in identifying and evaluating potential student-athletes. He also was responsible for all team travel and logistics. The 2022 campaign marked his second stint at Fairmont State, as he also served as director of football operations with the program in 2017 and 2018.

Prior to his second tenure with the Fighting Falcons, Rosen spent two years with the NFL Scouting Mentorship Program from 2020 to 2022. He worked directly with Lionel Vital, the director of college scouting for the Dallas Cowboys. During his time with the program, Rosen was able to categorize prospects based on physical attributes, athletic ability, toughness and competitiveness, collaborating on player identification, evaluation, grading and report writing.

Rosen owns a vast background in the game across a multitude of levels. He has spent time in the collegiate ranks at the University of Texas San Antonio (2019), Lafayette (2018-19), Bryant (2013-17) and Northwestern State (2008-10). At each of those stops Rosen served as director of football operations, while during his time with the Roadrunners he was the director of player personnel.

A 1993 graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, Rosen began his career with the San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League (AFL) from 2005 to 2008, overseeing player personnel and serving as offensive quality control coach. He then joined the Arizona Rattlers in a player personnel and regional scouting capacity before heading to Northwestern State, where he earned a Master of Science in sports management.

From 2011 to 2013, Rosen served as Vice President of Business Development with Metro Area Sports, LLC, helping to secure equity capital for an AFL team in the Washington, D.C., region. Rosen lives with his wife, Anne Wu, and their dog, Abner.
