Dante' Jackson

The 2017-18 campaign marks the first season for Dante’ Jackson as an assistant coach at Robert Morris University.
 
Jackson, a native of Greenfield, Ohio, joined RMU after spending last season as an assistant at Air Force. Prior to joining the coaching staff with the Falcons, Jackson spent one season as an assistant coach with Northern Kentucky (2015-16).
 
A 2011 graduate of Xavier University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal arts, Jackson began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Ohio University in 2011-12. The Bobcats finished with an overall record of 29-8 (.784), including a mark of 11-5 (.688) in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Ohio University claimed the 2012 MAC Tournament title and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the 2012 NCAA Tournament, earning wins over Michigan and South Florida before falling to North Carolina in the regional semifinals.
 
Jackson returned to his alma mater after one year at Ohio University and spent two years as a graduate assistant with the Musketeers from 2012-14 while earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in sport administration. While at Xavier, Jackson helped guide the Musketeers to third place in their first season as a member of the Big East with an overall record of 21-13 (.618), including a 10-8 (.556) conference mark. Xavier earned an at-large bid to the 2014 NCAA Tournament.
 
A three-year starter at Xavier, Jackson owns the school record for games played with 137 with teammates B.J. Raymond (2007-11) and Kenny Frease (2008-12). He appeared in the NCAA Tournament in each of his four years with the program, including an Elite Eight appearance in 2008, the Sweet 16 in both 2009 and 2010 and the second round in 2011.
 
Jackson concluded his career helping lead the Musketeers to 107 victories, including seven in the NCAA Tournament. He posted career totals of 795 points, 374 rebounds and 255 assists.
 
As a prep at McClain High School in Greenfield, Ohio, Jackson is the program’s all-time leading scorer with 2,423 points and also owns career program marks for rebounds (1,014), assists (502) and steals (312). McClain posted a composite record of 85-12 (.876) during Jackson’s four seasons on the roster, including three South Central Ohio League championships, four sectional titles and two district championships.
