The 2016-17 campaign marks the fourth year for Nick Lackey as video coordinator at Robert Morris. In addition to his role as video coordinator, Lackey assists in basketball operations.

Lackey was part of a program that claimed its league-high eighth Northeast Conference Tournament title and subsequent bid to the NCAA Tournament in 2014-15. The Colonials finished 20-15 (.571) overall, including 12-6 (.667) in the Northeast Conference. In 2013-14 with Lackey as video coordinator, the Colonials finished 22-14 overall (.611), claimed their second straight NEC regular-season championship with a mark of 14-2 (.875) and advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).
In May of 2013, Lackey earned a Bachelor of Science degree from RMU in business administration with a concentration in sport management while also owning journalism as a minor. In May of 2015, Lackey earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Robert Morris.

A native of Fairview, Pa., during his time as an undergraduate student at Robert Morris, Lackey spent four years as the head manager for the program while also serving as a video assistant.

Lackey is responsible for maintaining film exchange with opponents, video editing, coordinating schedules and statistics and overseeing all student managers.

In the summer of 2012, Lackey served an intern with the Erie Bayhawks of the NBA Development League in Erie, Pa. While with Bayhawks, Lackey served as a sales, marketing and operations assistant, helping in promotions, assisting in statistics and working trade agreements with local businesses.
