Robert Marasti is entering his fifth season as an assistant coach with the Robert Morris men's lacrosse team.
In September of 2014, Colonials head coach Andrew McMinn hired Marasti, giving the former RMU player his first collegiate coaching job.
Marasti spent 2012 to 2014 as the president of the Pittsburgh Low and Away Lacrosse Club, and doubled as the varsity head coach at Pine Richland (Pa.) High School in 2014. Under his direction, the Rams finished the season with a record of 10-5 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) playoffs.
Prior to that, Marasti was an assistant coach with Seneca Valley (Pa.) High School for the 2013 season, and spent the previous year with Peters Township (Pa.) High School as its Director of Youth Coaches and eighth grade head coach.
Marasti played four seasons with Robert Morris from 2008 to 2011, tallying 24 points in 60 games. He was a very versatile player for the Colonials, as he started his career as an attackman before moving to defensive midfield his junior season. In his senior campaign, RMU finished 9-6 and made the first Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament of its history.
A native of Pittsburgh, Marasti graduated from Robert Morris in 2011 with his Bachelor's degree in education.
