Koren Woy-Smith is in her 11th season on the coaching staff of the track & field and cross country programs in 2013-14 at Robert Morris University. She is responsible for coaching the high and horizontal jumpers.

A native of Everett, Pa., Woy-Smith has helped produce 12 NCAA East Regional Qualifiers and 14 All-East Coast student-athletes in the jumping disciplines since 2004. Woy-Smith helped tutor former Colonial Melitta Brown to the 2008 Canadian Olympic trials, where she placed eighth in the triple jump. Brown also qualified but did not place in the long jump.

Woy-Smith has coached more than 15 Northeast Conference champions in the long, triple and high jumps while at RMU, while over 30 student-athletes have earned All-NEC recognition. Led by Woy-Smith, over 40 indoor or outdoor records have been established. She is USATF Level II certified in the jumps disciplines.

Before coming to Robert Morris, Woy-Smith coached two years at NEC rival school Saint Francis (Pa.) and one year at Shippensburg University. 

A 2000 graduate of Shippensburg University with a degree in finance, Woy-Smith earned her master's degree in sport management in 2003 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Currently Woy-Smith is employed full time with Citizens Bank in Moon Township, Pa.

Woy-Smith is married to Michael Smith of Wilmington, N.C., and the couple reside in Corapolis, Pa., with their son, Kooper.
