Pat Barry enters his second season working with the women’s hockey program. He’s the Hockey Operations Coordinator and Video Analytics Coordinator.
Barry began his career with the Penn State women's hockey program his freshman year of college. During his four years of undergrad at Penn State, he was the team's head film manager and student manager.
He played a key role in breaking down plays at intermissions for the coaching staff. Eventually in his junior and senior years of college, Barry was promoted, taking on more responsibility in operations.
"I'm really excited to be a part of RMU," said Barry. "It's also very special to join the program in the season returning to the ice."
Across four seasons with the Nittany Lions, Barry helped the team to a 74-37-17 (.645) overall record. In conference, the team went 45-14-11 (.721) in the CHA.
Barry is coming off a very successful season with Penn State, as the team went 27-9-2 in the regular season and went on to win the CHA Championship against Mercyhurst, 2-1 (OT). The team then advanced to the NCAA Regional Tournament, facing #8 Quinnipiac.
"In my time in the CHA conference, RMU was known as the standard, and a top-level program," said Barry. "I'm looking forward to working with this great staff, and getting to work with the players and help them do well this season."
