The Robert Morris University women's lacrosse team welcomes
Chelsea Rosiek as an assistant coach ahead of the 2020 regular season.
Rosiek, who has spent the past eight seasons leading NCAA programs, will serve as an assistant on head coach

"I am excited to add a person of Chelsea's character and experience to our staff," Silva said. "She will bring the vision of a head coach, able to look ahead and keep moving our program forward. Chelsea's vibrant personality is evident from your first interaction with her, so I know she will make an immediate impact on our players, families and recruits."
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Rosiek has been head coach at Division I St. Bonaventure since 2015. Prior to that, she led Chestnut Hill (Pa.) College of Division II for four seasons, lifting the Griffins back to contender status by the end of her tenure.
Rosiek got to know Silva as fellow competitors in the regional club lacrosse scene; that mutual respect grew as RMU and the Bonnies squared off in each of the past four seasons. Now Rosiek joins a Colonials program that's coming off a record 12 wins and a sixth consecutive trip to the Northeast Conference tournament.

Katrina Silva and the RMU community for welcoming me into their family," Rosiek said. "I have admired the program and university since I became part of the Division I coaching landscape and I hope to make an immediate impact within the culture as we vie for an NEC championship."
Following a standout playing career at Temple, where she twice earned All-Atlantic 10 honors, Rosiek began her coaching life at her alma mater, Wissahickon High School. At the same time, she cut her teeth as an assistant at Division III Haverford (Pa.) College.
Rosiek's husband Victor and their young son Jordyn accompany her to Western Pennsylvania as her RMU tenure begins. While she started her life on the opposite side of the Commonwealth, Rosiek boasts local family ties, as her parents were raised in New Castle and Beaver Falls.
"I look forward to learning and growing under the leadership of coach Silva and can't wait to get started," Rosiek said. "I want to thank my family, most importantly my husband and my son, for continuing on this journey with me."
Entering their 16th season in D-I lacrosse, the Colonials are 20-6 in the NEC over the past four years and have gone a combined 19 games over .500 since the start of the 2014 season.
"We are committed to winning an NEC championship," Silva said. "Chelsea's addition to our staff puts us one step closer to that goal."
