Kevin Garcia enters his first season as the Goalkeeper Coach for the Robert Morris University women's soccer program in 2026.
Prior to RMU, Garcia spent two seasons as the assistant coach and goalkeeper coach at La Roche University. After inheriting a program in rebuilding mode, the Redhawks improved from a 2-11 record in 2024 to a 10-5-4 mark in 2025, capturing the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Tournament Championship and earning a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Along with overseeing goalkeeper development, Garcia worked with the team's defensive unit and assisted with recruiting.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Garcia has served as a goalkeeper coach with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Academy, while also working as the Goalkeeper Director for FC Pittsburgh since 2024.
During the 2024 fall season, he served as the Goalkeeper Coach for the North Allegheny boys’ soccer team.
Across those roles, he has planned and implemented goalkeeper training sessions, conducted video analysis and helped develop players of varying ages and skill levels.
Garcia holds a U.S. Soccer Federation D License, United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 1, 2 and 3 Diplomas, and is CPR certified.
A former collegiate and professional goalkeeper, Garcia played at Lake Erie College and Carlow University before competing with Patuxent FC and Dayton Dutch Lions in USL League Two, the Richmond Kickers in USL League One, Steel City FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, Naples United of the NPSL and Bridge City in the Major Indoor Soccer League.
During his playing career, Garcia earned Second Team USCAA All-American honors twice, was a three-time USCAA Goalkeeper of the Week, received Great Midwest Athletic Conference Second Team recognition, earned All-River States Conference Honorable Mention accolades and won two G-MAC Conference championships.
Garcia started school at Wright State and then transferred to Lake Erie where earned his bachelor's degree in business in 2023 before completing his Master of Business Administration in Leadership and Management in 2025 at Carlow University.
