Beyond her collegiate coaching experience, Duval's involvement with the Olympic Development Program and FC Carolinas underscore her dedication to nurturing talent at various levels of the sport.

Before the start of her coaching career, Duval was an accomplished student-athlete. In her final year of college soccer in 2022, Duval started in net at D'Youville University and was tabbed USCAA Second-Team All-American. Before D'Youville, she played over the summer of 2022 in the USL W-League for Greenville Liberty.

Duval spent her first four years as a student-athlete at Campbell University. Competing in the Big South Conference, she won with her teammates the Big South Tournament Championship in the spring of 2021 and the Big South Regular Season Championship in the fall of 2021.

In her undergrad years, she earned a Bachelor's in Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in Sociology and graduated Cum Laude.
