Dear Robert Morris Men's Basketball '81-82 and '82-83 Team Member...

Can you believe it's been 25 years since we hit the limelight as “Bobby Who”?
Yep, 25 years since Colonial Basketball burst on the national scene with the school's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 1982 and its only NCAA Tournament win in 1983. These are milestones to remember, and for that reason, I would like to invite you to a very special reunion.
On Nov. 10 of this year, the RMU Athletic Department, Colonial Athletic Club, RMU Office of Alumni Relations and new head men's basketball coach Mike Rice are inviting us back to campus to relive a little of those glory days.
At 1 p.m. that day, the Colonial football team concludes its regular season at home in Joe Walton Stadium against Sacred Heart. Ourselves, our families and friends will be the special guests of RMU President Greg Dell'Omo in the University Box where it's climate controlled and well stocked with food and drinks! There is space for you and one guest in the University Box, but there is no limit on the number of complimentary tickets for seats in the stadium itself. After the football game, Sewall Center main court is ours for a pickup game that's sure to shake all 25 years of rust off our tired bodies! Then, following a dinner in our honor, we will remain in Sewall and watch Coach Rice in his Robert Morris debut as the Colonials host Iona at 7 p.m., as we will be recognized at halftime.
Let's make this one count! Twenty-five years is a long time, but this is the perfect opportunity to renew old friendships and share each others' company once again. You're on your own for transportation and overnight lodging, however, the athletic department has arranged for the RMU rate of $75 a night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (412-262-2400) in Moon Township so make your reservations soon. Game admissions (unlimited) as well as dinner (for you and up to four guests) are on the Colonials. Just let Associate Athletic Director Marty Galosi know how many guests you are bringing. He can be reached at 412-397-4865 or at galosi@rmu.edu.
I'm honored to serve as the organizing chairperson of this event. If you'd like to contact me, please do so at 412-952-1158 or kirktrucking.paulh@alltel.net. Thank you. Go Colonials!
Sincerely,
Paul Hensler
