Pittsburgh, Pa. - On Saturday, the Robert Morris University track and field team traveled to the campus of James Madison University for the JMU Invitational. For the first time this season, the Colonials captured the team title as they finished with 194 points and eight first-place results over William and Mary and George Mason.
Charles Gladman (Philadelphia, Pa. / Cardinal Dougherty) took first place in the 100m run with his time of 10.98. He also placed second in the 200m event with a time of 22.34.
Fellow sprinter, Terrance Green (Stamford, Conn. / Milford Academy) snatched the title in the 200m race barely edging Gladman with a mark of 22:22.
In the 400m run, John Uccellini (Indiana, Pa. / Indiana) finished in the first-slot with his time of 54:83. Michael Robinson (Reynoldsville, Pa. / Dubois) also earned gold as he took the crown in the 800m with a 1:56.36 result.
Freshman distance runner, Ben Ingle (Tyrone, Pa. / Tyrone) captured a first-place finish as he won the Steeplechase for the second time this season with his mark of 9:53.89.
Freshman Collin Ray (Middletown, Pa. / Middletown Area) continued his success as he earned a gold in the discus with a throw of 46.59m. Also in the field events, Brendan Morales (Westminster, Md. / Westminster) picked up the first slot in the shot put with his 14.72m throw.
In the relays, the RMU men received a first-place result in the 4x100m event with a final time of 42:50.
Next Saturday, the Colonials will take part in the Saint Francis Father Bede Invitational hosted by fellow NEC team, Saint Francis (Pa)., in Loretto, Pa.
