RMU Notches 10th at IC4A Championships

2012 IC4A/ECAC Cross Country Championships Results

The Robert Morris University women's cross country squad concluded its 2012 season Saturday afternoon by finishing 10th out of 19 squads in the 104th IC4A University Race at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y.

The Colonials finished with 270 points. Sacred Heart won the team championship with 73 points and was followed by George Mason (120), Fordham (124), Monmouth (156) and Binghamton (158).

Leading RMU was sophomore Marissa Polk (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Oakland Catholic), who finished 12th individually with a time of 18:51.00 in the five-mile course.

Taking home the individual title was Bethany Sachtleben of George Mason, who navigated the course in a time of 18:04.03.

Also finishing in the top 75 for Robert Morris were sophomore Alexandra Zielinski (Buffalo, N.Y. / Seneca East), junior Lindsay Erath (Aliquippa, Pa. / Hopewell) and senior Kristie Domis (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Baldwin).

Zielinski finished 53rd thanks to a time of 19:52.60, while Erath and Domis finished two spots apart in 65th and 67th-place, respectively.

Erath crossed the finish line in a time of 19:59.40, while Domis posted a time of 20:00.02.
