SFU Gets Three Late Goals to Beat RMU

Senior Johanna Kadam tallies her fourth score of the year.

Box Score

Loretto, Pa. / Stokes Soccerplex – Senior Johanna Kadam (Germantown, Md. / Northwest) gave the Robert Morris University women's soccer team a brief lead before Saint Francis University scored three goals in the final 25 minutes to take a 3-1 win Friday afternoon. The Colonials fall to 4-7-3 and 0-2-2 in the Northeast Conference while the Red Flash remain perfect in league games and 8-6-1 overall.

Following a scoreless first half, Kadam's fourth marker of the year on an assist from sophomore Kristie Hamilton (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Shaler) gave Robert Morris a 1-0 lead in the 55th minute.

The RMU lead lasted 11 minutes before Tesa McKibben knotted the score on an Abbey Collins assist. Eight minutes later, Mackenzie Walter gave the Red Flash the lead with a long ball that navigated traffic and found the right corner of the net. McKibben's  11th marker of the year iced the contest in the 79th minute.

Sophomore goalie Chelsea de Jager (Grimsby, Ontario / Governor Simcoe) had nine saves.

Robert Morris travels to LIU Brooklyn next Friday, Oct. 25.
