RMU Travels To New York for Pair of NEC Games

The Capsule
Robert Morris travels to the New York metropolitan area looking to will be looking to snap a seven-game winless skid and capture their first Northeast Conference victory of the season when they visit LIU Brooklyn and Wagner College this weekend. The Colonials first visit the Blackbirds Friday, Oct. 25, for a 6:30 p.m. game. RMU then makes the trip over the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to Staten Island to take on the Wagner College Seahawks Sunday, Oct. 27.
 
The Series vs. LIU Brooklyn
The Colonials are 3-11-2 overall against the Blackbirds. RMU is just 1-6-1 at LIU Field. The last Colonials win in the series came in 2009, 1-0, in Brooklyn.
 
The Series vs. Wagner
Robert Morris has dominated recently against Wagner, taking a 10-8-1 lead in the all-time series. RMU is 10-2-1 against the Seahawks since 2000 and are unbeaten, 6-0-1, in the series since 2006. RMU is 3-5-1 in games at Wagner College Stadium.

The Colonials are winless in their last seven games after getting off to a 3-0-1 start to the season. Three of the last four RMU games have gone to double-overtime with the team garnering two ties and a loss in those games. Madison Kozlowski leads the team in scoring (9) and goals (4). Johanna Kadam has three goals and seven points while Kristie Hamilton has added two goals and two assists. Sophomore Chelsea de Jager has garnered the majority of time in net recently and has a 1.17 goals against average and a .719 save percentage. Becky Schoenecker has played and started in 10 games, posting a 1.47 GAA and a .804 save percentage.

The Colonials wrap up the regular season with a pair of home games November 1 and 3. Fairleigh Dickinson visits North Athletic Complex Friday, Nov. 1, at 2:00 p.m.
