Robert Morris University women's soccer team scored two late goals but couldn't dig completely out a 3-0 hole in a 3-2 loss to LIU Brooklyn in Northeast Conference action Friday evening in Brooklyn, N.Y. The Colonials fall to 4-8-3 overall and 0-3-2 in the league while the Blackbirds improve to 5-10-1 and 3-3 in the NEC.

Lauren Pietrowski (Shillington, Pa. / Governor Mifflin) in front of the box. Pietrowski slid a shot past LIU keeper Jessica Montrose in the 73rd minute. The goal was the first of Pietrowski's career.
The Colonials cut the margin to one goal, 3-2, when Hamilton collected her third marker of the season, blasting a shot from just outside the box. Sophomore
Lauren Sulkowski (St. Catharines, Ontario / Holy Cross) set up the 83rd minute score.
Jenn Peters accounted for the only goal of the first half staking LIU to a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute. Peter made it 2-0 with a breakaway score on a through ball from Asha Mohiddin. Peter's then set-up the final Blackbirds score in the 65
th minute, crossing the ball to the head of Tori Shinkowitz.

Becky Schoenecker (Cheswick, Pa. / Fox Chapel) made three saves for Robert Morris.
The Colonials travel to Staten Island, Sunday, Oct. 27, to take on the Wagner Seahawks.
