Neco Brett (Kingston, Jamaica / Excelsior) scored a goal for the fourth consecutive game as the
Robert Morris University men's soccer team dropped its regular-season finale, 4-1, at Saint Francis University Sunday afternoon. The Colonials wrap the season with a mark of 8-8-2 overall and 2-5 in the Northeast Conference.
Brett finished the year with 14 goals, third most in team history, and 36 points, one shy of the team record of 37 set by former Major League Soccer draft pick Musa Shannon. His eight assists on the year are tied for fifth-most by an RMU player.
David Trunzo scored in the third minute and Robert Morris found itself in an early hole. Trunzo would strike again in the 39th minute give the host Red Flash a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Nick Kolarac, who set up each of the first two goals, made it 3-0 in the 60th minute.
Junior
Devon Williams (Kingston, Jamaica / St. Georges) put a ball through the Saint Francis defense on to the foot of Brett just over a minute later. Brett ran onto the pass and deposited his 14th goal in to the right corner.
Kolarac iced the game in the 64th minute, finishing a flurry of three goals in just over four minutes and capping the scored at 4-1 in favor of the Red Flash.
