The First Word
- After a week off, Robert Morris hits the road for a pair of games at Bentley to kick off the month of December.
- Last time out, the Colonials split a weekend series with Holy Cross at home; losing 2-1 on Friday, Nov. 22 before earning a 5-1 victory on Saturday, Nov. 23.
- Bentley traveled to Air Force for a pair of games last weekend and left with three points after a 4-2 win on Friday followed up by a 2-2 tie on Saturday.
- Both teams have played Air Force and Holy Cross already this season. RMU is 1-2-0 against the two common opponents while Bentley is 2-0-1.
Against Bentley
- The two teams last met in November of 2012 when Bentley traveled to Robert Morris for a pair of games. In the two-game series, each team would earn a victory with RMU winning 5-2 in the first game while the Falcons took the second game, 5-4.
- Neither team has strung together consecutive victories over the first ten meetings between the two teams, the longest unbeaten streak was three games put together by the Colonials who earned two victories and a tie between 2005 and 2010.
- When traveling to take on Bentley, RMU sports a record of 1-2-1 with the only victory coming on Oct. 22, 2005 when the Colonials took down the Falcons, 5-2.

Scott Jacklin has recorded five assists in four games played against Bentley.

Terry Shafer faced Bentley once last season, allowing five goals in the 5-4 loss.
Scouting the Falcons
- Bentley finished the 2012-2013 season with a record of 12-20-3 after suffering a first-round exit in the AHA playoffs with two losses against Canisius.
- Through the first two months of play in the 2013-2014 season, the Falcons have compiled a record of 5-7-1 while going 4-2-1 against Atlantic Hockey opponents.
- The five wins for Bentley this season have come against Nebraska-Omaha, Army, Connecticut, Holy Cross, and Air Force.
- The Falcons are currently tied for second place in the AHA with Air Force as the two teams each have nine points.
- Junior forward Alex Grieve paces the Bentley offense with nine goals an 17 points in 13 games played this season.
- Junior defenseman Steve Weinstein has dressed for each of the Falcons' 15 games this season and has dished out 15 assists for Bentley.
- Senior goaltender Branden Komm has started every game for the Falcons this season to compile a record of 5-6-1 with a 2.69 goals-against average and a save percentage of .919.
RMU has successfully killed off 31 of the 46 penalties they have taken this season. The 67.4 percent success rate is the second lowest in the NCAA as only Alabama-Huntsville has a worse number.
Leading After Two
RMU's two wins this season came after the Colonials were leading after two periods. Since joining the AHA, Robert Morris has lost just two of the 51 games in which it has held an advantage heading into the third period of play. One of the two losses came last season against RIT.
Assisting the Team
Prior to the beginning of the season, head coach
Derek Schooley announced that the Assistant Captain honors would be awarded on a monthly basis. For the month of October, senior defenseman
Evan Renwick held the honor before is was passed along to junior forward
David Rigatti for the month of November. This month, Rigatti maintains his "A" while junior forward
Cody Wydo has also earned the honor for December.
Back in the Running
Robert Morris University, CONSOL Energy Center, and the City of Pittsburgh are one of ten finalists in the running to host an upcoming Frozen Four. Joining them in the race are Boston, Buffalo, Brooklyn, Chicago, Columbus, Philadelphia, Saint Paul, Tampa, and Washington D.C. The four winning sites will be announced by the NCAA on December 11th.

This season's senior class needs just nine wins to set a new program record for victories by a class. The graduating class of 2012 holds the current record with 65 victories. This season's group of seniors currently has 57 wins, a number which is the second-most by any graduating class.
