First Round Forecast
Robert Morris has participated in the first round of the AHA Playoffs in each of its four seasons as a member.  Prior to this season, the Colonials have gone 4-2-0 in first-round contests while going 4-1-0 under the current best-of-three playoff format for the opening round of games.

Lucky 13
Now in its fourth season as a member of Atlantic Hockey, Robert Morris has recorded 13 wins in each of its seasons in the AHA.  In three of the four seasons, including this year, the Colonials finished fifth in the conference.
Wydo Breaks Program Record
With his goal on March 1 in the 5-2 loss against Mercyhurst, junior forward Cody Wydo set a new single-season record for goals scored with his 23rd marker of the season.  Wydo surpassed the old mark of 22 set by Ryan Cruthers during the 2007-08 season and is the only player in the ten-year program history to have multiple 20+-goal seasons (21 goals in the 2012-13 campaign as a sophomore).

Scoring in the New Year
Since 2014 began, RMU has scored 67 goals in 18 games, the highest goal total in the NCAA during that timeframe.  The Colonials also hold the top spots in assists (114), points (181), plus/minus (+24), shots on goal (655), and faceoffs won (651) during the calendar year.

Home Ice Advantage
Against conference foes this season, Robert Morris has gone 9-3-2 at 84 Lumber Arena.  The record, good enough for a .714 winning percentage, ranks the Colonials eighth in the NCAA based on the team's winning percentage on home ice.

Winning with the Penalty Kill
In its 13 victories this season, Robert Morris has allowed just four power-play goals to its opponents.  The Colonials have killed off 47 of the 51 (92.2 percent) penalties they have committed, ranking RMU 10th in the NCAA.  The Colonials have not won a game in which they have allowed multiple power-play goals to their opponent.

A Shot Difference
Outshooting the opponent has been a key component for victories this season for Robert Morris.  In their 13 victories, the Colonials have outshot their opponents by an average of 6.54 shots per game.  In its 15 losses, RMU has been outshot by an average of 3.56 shots per game by its opponents.

30-30 for Jacklin
With his goal on Feb. 22 against Canisius, junior forward Scott Jacklin joined the 30-30 club at Robert Morris.  Jacklin now has 30 career goals and 34 assists, becoming the ninth Colonial to join the club that includes senior forward Colin South and junior forward Cody Wydo.
Surviving the Second Period
The second period has been the kryptonite of Robert Morris this season.  Colonial goaltenders have recorded a 4.06 goals-against average and a .890 save percentage in the middle frame despite making 374 saves, the most saves in any period this season.
Under Fire
Sophomore goaltender Terry Shafer is one of three goalies in the NCAA to have faced at least 1,000 shots this season.  Shafer has seen 1,003 shots, the third-highest total in the country and second in the AHA.  Shafer's 917 saves this season also rank him third in the NCAA and second in the AHA.
