Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Pitt Panthers scored twice in the final five minutes Wednesday night to hand the Robert Morris University women's soccer team a 3-1 loss at Ambrose Urbanic Field in Pittsburgh. The loss moves the Colonials record to 1-2 on the season while the Panthers improve to 2-1.

After a scoreless first half, Roosa Arvas gave Pitt the lead in the 53rd minute, deflecting a cross from Taylor Pryce past RMU keeper Becky Schoenecker.

RMU found the equalizer in the 72nd minute. Antonia Grese, who now has five points early in the first three games, found freshman Erin Ritzer with a pass. The rookie was able to place her shot low and left, knotting the game at 1-1.

The Panthers avoided overtime when Arvas buried a header on a Alex Charlebois cross in the 86th minute. Hanna Hannesdottir iced the game when she scored with 54 seconds to play.

Schoenecker finished with three saves for Robert Morris. Taylor Francis made two stops for the host Panthers.
