Pittsburgh, Pa. – The
Robert Morris University men's soccer team was handed a 4-1 loss at Duquesne Thursday night at Rooney Field. The loss drops the Colonials record to 3-4-1 overall while the Dukes improve to 5-2-2.
Duquesne jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Kadeem Pantophlet buried a header on a cross from Isaiah Noreiga in the 37th minute. It was the only goal in a half where the Colonials were outshot, 13-3.
Dorian Kouame pushed the margin to 2-0 in the 55th minute before Thomas De Villardi's first goal of the season made it 3-0 in the 72nd minute.
Speedy Williams put RMU on the board with his third marker of the year.
Carl Reid set up the 77th minute goal. But the Dukes would take just 10 seconds to reestablish the three goal lead when Karter Sell put home a rebound to round out the scoring at 4-1.

Brenden Alfery had five saves for Robert Morris.
The Colonials return to action on Sunday, Sept. 28, when they travel to Washington, D.C., for a 1:00 p.m. game against the Howard Bison.
