Pittsburgh, Pa. – Robert Morris University men's hockey suffers its' first Atlantic Hockey loss of the season 3-2 to American International College.
Greg Gibson opened the scoring 4:37 into the first.

Zac Lynch worked the puck along the boards and Lynch found Gibson right in front of the net. Gibson, the national player of the month for October, buries the shot to make it a 1-0 RMU lead.
The 20th ranked Colonials light the lamp on a power play goal early in the second.

AIC answers at the 7:22 mark of the second. Johno May nets a power play goal to cut the Colonials lead to 1.
Robert Morris led 2-1 heading into the third, but AIC quickly tied the game on a power play goal, May's second of the game. The Yellow Jackets potted their first even strength goal of the game with 5:11 remaining to take their first lead of the game.
Terry Shafer made a glove save, and AIC won the ensuing faceoff, setting up Travis Douglas' go-ahead goal.
Despite several chances with a man-advantage in the final two minutes of the game, the Colonials couldn't cash in on more than two of their 46 total shots. The 3-2 loss is RMU's second of the season, the other coming to then tenth-ranked Michigan. The victory was the first for AIC over a ranked team.
The teams face off again Saturday night at 7:05 pm at 84 Lumber Arena.
