– The
Robert Morris University women's hockey team returns to the road for College Hockey America action at nearby conference rival Mercyhurst for a two-game series: Friday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. at the Mercyhurst Ice Center in Erie, Pa.
RMU (9-5-2, 3-2-1) is coming off a series sweep of Maine, in which they defeated the Black Bears 5-1 on Friday and 3-0 on Saturday. Junior
Mikaela Lowater was named CHA Player of the Week, and later, CHA Player of the Month for her continued success throughout November. In the Maine series, Lowater posted a power-play goal and two assists in two games. In doing so, she extended a six-game point streak. Lowater ranks fifth in the nation among defensemen in points per game (1.00).
The Lakers (7-7-2, 5-0-1) have won three of their last five and are coming off a split series with non-conference opponent Colgate. Mercyhurst took Game 1, 4-2, and dropped the second meeting, 0-3.

Robert Morris versus MercyhurstThe Colonials are 8-37-1 all-time versus perennial CHA power Mercyhurst. RMU won the last meeting between the two programs, 3-2, on Jan. 31, 2015, in 84 Lumber Arena. Despite the Lakers' advantage in the series, the series record as of late has been more evenly spread (8-8-1).
