RMU went 7-1 at home last season en route to an 11-6 overall record.
Both teams seek their first victory of 2015, as Cincinnati enters the day winless and RMU comes off a wild 17-16 overtime loss to Duquesne on Wednesday, a game that was moved to Thiel College due to weather. MUSKET SHOTS- RMU returns nine of its top 10 point-scorers from last season, when it qualified for the NEC Tournament with a third-place finish (5-2 in league). The Colonials enter their second decade of Division I play with 17 returners in all.- Senior midfielder
Kristin Yoviene tied a program record with 10 points (4g, 6a) Wednesday at the Rissell-Schreyer Dome. Yoviene is one of just three Colonials to ever reach double digits in a single game.
- Freshman goalie
Mackenzie Duffy impressed in her debut, stopping 12 shots - including four of seven free-position attempts. Seniors
Haley Schemm (six ground balls) and
Kristi Marks (three caused turnovers) also shined on defense.
- Junior attack
Emily Jamison capped RMU's comeback Wednesday, netting the tying goal - her second of the game - with 15 seconds left off an assist from Yoviene. The Colonials scored three goals in the final five minutes of regulation.
- Senior attack
Emma Baukhages netted four goals Wednesday. Both she and Byerly came up one goal shy of matching their career single-game highs in that category.
- Junior midfielder
Jessica Karwacki found her rhythm late against Duquesne, piling up a game-high 14 draw controls. The Maryland native won an incredible 216 draws last season, setting a new NCAA Division I record.
