Colonials Entertain Canisius In Sunday Matinee

After playing three straight road games, Robert Morris returns to North Athletic Complex to entertain the Canisius Golden Griffins in a 1:00 p.m. game Sunday, Sept. 13. The Colonials open the year by playing seven of its first nine games on the road. RMU went 1-2 on its recent three-game swing, falling at Howard (3-2) and at Ohio (3-0) while picking up a 1-0 victory at Youngstown State to move its record to 1-5. Canisius is 2-4-2 registering wins over a first-year Hampton team and against New Jersey Institute of Technology.
 
The Series vs. Canisius
Robert Morris is 4-2 all-time against Canisius having won each of the last four meetings, including three straight on the road. The Colonials have not given up a goal to the Griffs since their second meeting in 1994. RMU owns a 1-1 record in games played in Moon Township.

- Senior goalie Chelsea de Jager tied her career high by making 10 saves in Friday's game at Ohio
- de Jager stopped four shots to earn her first shutout of the year at Youngstown State
- Freshman Antonia Grese scored her first goal of the season in the 1-0 win over Penguins
- Junior defender Theresa Laux tallied her first career goal against Howard with a header
- Senior forward Lauren Sulkowski had two assists at Howard, the first multi-assist game of her career
- Sophomore Gabrielle Corrente also scored at Howard
- Kayla Kelley was an All-NEC First Team selection in 2014
- Senior Kristie Hamilton is 15th all-time at Robert Morris with 23 career points and tied for fifth with 11 assists
- Allowing just 1.25 goals per game, the 2014 squad set a program record for goals against average
 
Coming Up
Robert Morris travels two-thirds of the way across the country to take part in the Northern Arizona Mountain Classic. The Colonials take on Grand Canyon University Friday before playing the host Lumberjacks Sunday.
