Bemidji, Minn.
– A new season and a clean slate awaits the 2015-16
Robert Morris University women's hockey team, starting with a two-game series at No. 9 Bemidji State on Friday, Sept. 25 at 8:07 p.m. (EST) and Saturday, Sept. 26 at 5:07 p.m. (EST) at the Sanford Center in Bemidji, Minn.
Under the direction of fifth-year head coach
Paul Colontino, the Colonials hope to bounce back from what was predicted to be a special season for RMU, but fell just shy of those high hopes. Robert Morris was picked to finish at the top of the College Hockey America (CHA) conference at the outset of 2014-15 and ended with an 8-8-4 (.500) CHA mark, good for fourth in the six-team league.
Robert Morris will have an early opportunity to realize its potential with a season-opening non-conference test against a No. 9-ranked Bemidji State team that returns 21 student-athletes from a 2014-15 squad that set a program record for wins (21).
Robert Morris versus Bemidji StateThe Colonials are 3-7-0 all-time versus the Beavers.
Success at SanfordDespite trailing in the all-time series, all three of RMU's wins against BSU have occurred on Bemidji State's home ice.
