Smithfield, R.I. – The Robert Morris University men's soccer team fell to Bryant University, 3-0, this afternoon in Northeast Conference (NEC) action from a rainy Bulldog Soccer Field.
Robert Morris (3-8-2, 0-3-1 NEC) never could find a handle on the ball as it was outshot by Bryant (2-9-1, 1-1-1 NEC), 20-7. The Bulldogs also held a 13-2 advantage in shots on goal.
Pedro Ferreira scored the game's first goal in the 40th minute as he finished off a cross from David Abunaw. Four minutes later, Victor Rey made it 2-0 by slotting one home off a free kick. Bryant added a third tally in the 56th minute from a RMU own goal.
Lucas Puntillo fired a team-high four shots, hitting the target twice. Winter Fondi made eight saves between the sticks.
Robert Morris completes the road slate of its schedule on Sunday, Oct. 23 at noon against Sacred Heart.
