Entering the final weekend of regular-season competition, the
Robert Morris University women's soccer remains alive for a bid to the Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament. The Colonials sit three points out of the top four with a pair of games remaining, starting with a tilt on Friday, Oct. 28 at 2:00 p.m. against seventh-place Wagner. The Seahawks are 3-13 on the season and 2-4 in league play, carrying victories over both LIU Brooklyn and Mount St. Mary's. RMU's 1-0 win at Fairleigh Dickinson this past Friday assured it the tiebreaker over the Knights, who are four points ahead of the Colonials in a tie for second.
Â
All-Time Series vs. Wagner
The series with the Seahawks has been fairly even as Robert Morris holds a slight 11-10-1 advantage. Last season, the Colonials went on the road and picked up a 3-1 victory as
Kayla Kelley's goal in the 84th minute broke a 1-1 deadlock.
Maleha Kureishy converted a penalty kick less than a minute later, giving RMU an insurance goal that it probably deserved considering the 22-11 difference in shot attempts.
