Moon Township, Pa. – The
Robert Morris University cross country team concluded its 2016 campaign Saturday by finishing 17th in University competition at the 2016 ECAC Championships in New York, N.Y.
Earning the team title was Monmouth, which compiled 108 points. Rounding out the top five was Marist (109), Northeastern (110), Fordham (125) and Manhattan (131).
Leading the way for RMU was junior
Rachel Crane, who posted a time of 19:57 in the five-kilometer course to finish 53rd.
Junior
Maggie Prorok crossed the finish line in a time of 20:34 to claim 92nd and finish second for the Colonials.
Rounding out the lineup for Robert Morris was senior
Kacie Erb, sophomores
Kelsey Swantek and
Kayla Jones, junior
Madeline Menzie, sophomore
Brynn Adams and senior
Kiera Mooney.
Erb navigated the course in 21:21, while Swantek finished 10 seconds behind at 21:31. Jones crossed the finish line in an even 22 minutes, and Menzie recorded a time of 22:46. Adams posted a time of 23:21, while Mooney finished at 23:54.
