David Friedmann's 100th career point could not have come at a better time for Robert Morris University men's hockey as
Zac Lynch scooped up Friedmann's pass and fired it home for the game-winning goal in overtime, advancing the Colonials to the Atlantic Hockey Championship game with a 2-1 victory over Army West Point.

Eric Israel scored his second career goal with one tick remaining on the power play.
Greg Gibson and Lynch both assisted on the goal that came at the 13:24 mark of the second. The score held through the end of regulation and carried long into the overtime frame.
Eight minutes into overtime,
Evan Moore batted a puck away from a Black Knights player and Friedmann skated up the ice, tossing a backwards pass intended for Gibson that landed on the stick of Lynch instead. Lynch buried the game-winner for his 67th career goal, 25th of the season, sending the Colonials to their second championship game in three years.
The night was not only a milestone marker for Friedmann, who became the seventh Colonials player to ever reach the 100-point mark, but included another record-setting performance. Senior goaltender
Terry Shafer, a native to Rochester (Penfield, N.Y.), notched his 43rd career victory to set a new program wins record. Shafer surpassed Christian Boucher '08 (42-59-12) for the all-time mark.
Robert Morris (24-10-4) will face RIT in the championship game at 7:05pm Saturday, the Tigers advancing past Air Force Academy with a 2-1 overtime win as well.
