Pittsburgh, Pa. - Robert Morris University men's hockey welcomes Air Force (13-7-4, 10-4-2 AHC) for a weekend series between two of the top four teams in the Atlantic Hockey conference standings, at 84 Lumber Arena in Pittsburgh. The Colonials (13-6-3, 9-5-2 AHC) are tied for third in the conference with RIT (20 points), with a chance to shake up the standings facing the second place Falcons (22 points).

Freshman goaltender
Francis Marotte is #1 in NCAA men's hockey with a .947 save percentage. Marotte is third nationally with a 1.71 goals against average (2nd in AHC) and holds a 9-3-2 record, making 13 starts and playing in 15 of the team's 20 games. Marotte has stopped 431 of 455 shots.
MAMA SAID SHUT YOU OUT
Marotte has backstopped the Colonials four-game win streak to start the second half of the season, including a pair of shutout performances. Marotte earned his first career shutout vs. Ferris State on December 29th and picked up his second shutout January 6th vs. AIC.
END OF THE STREAK
Brady Ferguson's scoring streak came to an end in RMU's 4-3 win over AIC (Jan. 7). Ferguson's 15-game streak dated back to the Colonials 6-2 win over #11 Ohio State on November 4th.

Ferguson is tied for 3rd in the NCAA in power play goals with 8, 3rd in power play points with 18. The Lewisville, TX native is two goals shy of tying the Colonials single-season record of 10 power play goals (Chris Margott - 10, 2008-09).

After allowing 10 power play goals in the first 4 games of the season (20-for-30, 66.6%), the Colonials have successfully killed 91.0% of penalties in the last 18 games (81-for-89), second-best in the NCAA. Eric Israel were tops among Atlantic Hockey defenders in the month of December. Mann (2G, 3A) and Israel (3G, 2A) were tied for second in the league in scoring with five points apiece, Mann leading the AHC in blocks with 17 and Israel with 16.
