Loretto, Pa. – The Robert Morris University women's soccer team fell in its first Northeast Conference (NEC) road contest to Saint Francis U, 3-0, this afternoon from the Stokes Soccerplex.
Robert Morris (2-10-0, 0-3-0 NEC) and Saint Francis U (6-6-1, 3-0-0 NEC) played a scoreless first half, but the hosts were able to pick up a trio of goals over a 29-minute span to come away with a victory.
Alyssa McGhee opened the scoring in the 52nd minute off an assist from Sara Suler. Camryn Tirado doubled the lead 20 minutes later off a rebound, followed by a Bri Guy tally in the 81st minute.
Kristina Kelley led the Colonials with two shot attempts. Sydney Bruckner made three saves in the defeat.
Savannah Shultz made her collegiate debut this afternoon, playing 41 minutes off the bench for RMU.
Robert Morris continues a three-match road swing on Friday, Oct. 13 at 4:00 p.m. at LIU Brooklyn.
