Robert Morris picked up its first sweep of the season with 3-1 and 4-0 wins over AIC. Senior forward Spencer Dorowicz scored three goals in the series and senior defenseman Robert Powers added his first career goal and two assists, all on the power play. Sophomore goaltender Francis Marotte won both games for the Colonials, earning his 4th career shutout and 2nd of the season.

After a bye week, the Colonials will host Penn State at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on Friday, December 8 at 7:35pm. On Saturday, December 9, Robert Morris travels to University Park, Pa. to complete the home-and-home with the Nittany Lions at Pegula Ice Arena.

Sophomore forward Luke Lynch has been lighting the lamp to the tune of nine goals in 13 games and is RMU's goals & points leader.

POWER UP
Brady Ferguson leads the Colonials in power play scoring with all but four of his points coming on the man advantage. The senior forward has five goals and three assists on the power play (6G-6A-12P overall). Ferguson has also scored a shorthanded goal.

PACEMAKERS
Luke Lynch & Michael Louria lead the Colonials in scoring with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Louria is scoring at a point per game pace and has recorded at least a point in all but three contests this season. Louria was held off the scoresheet in the Oct. 27 game at Ohio State, a loss at RIT and a win over AIC (Nov. 17). Lynch is also scoring at a point per game pace this season and has gone just two games without a point (at Canisius 10/14, vs. OSU 10/28).

APPLES TO APPLES
Louria has seven assists in the last seven games, recording two apiece in RMU's 3-0 win over Holy Cross on Nov. 4 and Nov. 10 at RIT.

SCOROWICZ
Senior Spencer Dorowicz is well on his wat to a single-season career-high in scoring (16 points in 2015-16, 2016-17), with 6 goals and 5 assists for 11 points thus far. Dorowicz has been one of the Colonials most consistent forwards this season, has three game-winning goals and a plus-five rating.

BLOCK PARTY
Senior defenseman Alex Bontje is second in Atlantic Hockey with 31 blocked shots at a rate of 2.38 blocks per game (T-9th in NCAA). Junior defenseman Eric Israel is fourth in the AHC with 26 blocks at 2.00 blocks per game (T-25th in NCAA).

FIRST THINGS FIRST
Robert Morris has scored 37.8% of its goals in the first period (14), 37.8% in the second (14) and just nine in the third.

STREAKS AT SIX
Lynch and Dorowicz enter the weekend series at Bentley riding six-game point streaks. Lynch has 4 goals and 3 assists in that span, while Dorowicz has 5 goals and 3 assists.

SHOOT YOUR SHOT
Luke Lynch is ranked 5th in the NCAA in shooting percentage at .321 (9 goals, 28 shots on goal). Lynch averages 2.15 shots per game.

KILL ME NOW
RMU's penalty killers posted a perfect performance in the sweep of AIC (4-for-4), and have killed 81.5% of penalties this season.

SHUTOUT SHOW
Francis Marotte recorded his fourth career shutout in RMU's 4-0 win over AIC on Nov. 18, putting him in sole possession of fourth all-time at RMU. The all-time record is eight, held by 2016 graduate Terry Shafer. (2nd - Dalton Izyk, 6; 3rd - Eric Levine, 5)

LONE STAR LEADING SCORER
Brady Ferguson is the NCAA's active career scoring leader. After posting the fifth-highest scoring NCAA men's hockey season in 2016-17 with 58 points, Ferguson is the lone returner out of that Top 5. The Carrollton, Texas native has six goals and six assists for 12 points in 13 games this season.

50 MISSION CAP
Brady Ferguson reached a milestone in the season opener at Niagara, scoring a pair to reach the 50 career goal mark. Ferguson is just the fifth player in RMU history to reach 50 career goals.

CLASS ACT
Brady Ferguson has been named one of twenty candidates for the Senior CLASS Award, presented to a student-athlete who excels in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

RICHTER AWARD
Sophomore goaltender Francis Marotte has been named to the Mike Richter Award watch list, the award presented yearly to the player deemed the best goaltender in men's Division I college hockey.

 BENTLEY FALCONS NOTES 
Ryan Soderquist is in his 16th season as head coach at Bentley, reaching the Atlantic Hockey quarterfinals in each of the last four seasons.

Bentley is led in scoring by Jonathan Desbiens (10GP 5G-3A) and Tanner Jago (11GP 2G-6A) with 8 points apiece. Kyle Schmidt is close behind with 7 points (3G-4A)

Bentley's power play has found some success this season. Coming into the weekend, the Falcons are converting at 20.8 percent, 6th in Atlantic Hockey and 23rd nationally. On the flip side, the Falcons have allowed a league-high 16 power play goals, with their penalty kill reaching just 70-percent success.

LAST TIME OUT
The Falcons dropped a pair of games to Canisius 5-1 and 5-2. Freshman Michael Zuffante scored a 1st period power play goal in Friday's opener but Canisius scored three times in the 2nd period to take a 4-1 lead and went on to win 5-1. 

On Saturday, the Falcons to a 2-0 lead on goals by Drew Callin and Matt Sieckhaus. The Griff tied the game in the second and jumped ahead in the third to win 5-2. Jake Bryniarski made his first career start for Bentley

SERIES HISTORY
Among Bentley's active players, Kyle Schmidt and Chris Buchanan have each played 11 times against the Colonials. Schmidt has six assists in those games. Drew Callin has four goals in six career games. Three of those goals came in last season's four meetings.
