The Colonials opened the regular season with a non-conference game at Bucknell, falling 11-10. Freshman midfielder
Annie Sachs started her Robert Morris career strong with a two goal, four assist performance as the Colonials battled back from a 10-2 halftime deficit to fall by just one, outscoring the Bison 8-1 in the second half.
Sachs led the team with 6 points on two goals and four assists. Her four assists are tied for 9th most all-time in a single-game at RMU. Sophomore

Dana Davis each finished with two goals and an assist, with Stella adding four caused turnovers and three ground balls to the scoresheet.Â
Megan Wolfgang led the defensive effort with a record-setting performance. Wolfgang racked up seven ground balls and caused six turnovers. The six caused turnovers tie an RMU single-game record and the seven ground balls are the third-most in a single-game at RMU.
Kendall Noel chipped in three caused turnovers as well. The Colonials caused 23 turnovers as a team, the second highest amount in a single game in team history.

Robert Morris University women's lacrosse was selected third in the Northeast Conference preseason coaches poll, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.
NEC coaches tabbed perennial power Bryant as the unanimous NEC women's lacrosse favorite this season. Robert Morris was chosen third, behind Wagner and ahead of Sacred Heart in fourth and Mount St. Mary's in the fifth spot. The coaches picked Central Connecticut to finish sixth with Saint Francis U and LIU Brooklyn rounding out the eight-team field. Bryant and Wagner have combined to win the last three NEC titles.Â

Dana Davis from a Colonial squad that qualified for the NEC Tournament for a third straight season. Wolfgang, a senior, ranked second on the Colonials with 20 caused turnovers and third with 24 ground balls. Davis did it all for RMU last season, collecting a team-high 52 ground balls, while placing second in goals (26), assists (8) and draw controls (28), and third in points (34). She finished second in the NEC with 3.06 ground balls per game.Â
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Louisville is 2-0 entering Sunday's game, defeating Vermont last Sunday, 19-8 and taking a tightly contested 13-12 win on the road Friday at Marquette. Four Cardinals recorded hat tricks in the season opener with sophomore McKayla Conti leading the way with six goals, while fellow sophomore Meghan Siverson scored five. Seniors Hannah Koloski and Heidi Smith both tallied three goals in the victory. Stephanie McNamara saw her defensive efforts against Vermont rewarded as she was named the ACC Defender of the Week. Siverson and Conti led the Cardinals with five goals each in the win at Marquette.
SERIES HISTORY
Louisville has a 1-0 advantage in the all-time series between the teams, with the Cardinals defeating the Colonials 19-3 on March 2, 2008 at UofL Lacrosse Stadium. This will be RMU's second trip to play Louisville in the Bluegrass State.
