Robert Morris University student-athletes were named to the 2018 Northeast Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Thursday.
To be eligible for the NEC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or better and be an active member of an officially recognized varsity team. Freshmen are eligible for the honor roll.
In addition, 18 of the 36 student-athletes named to the 2018 NEC Winter Academic Honor Roll were named to the 2018 NEC Winter Commissioner's Honor Roll. To be eligible for the NEC Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.75.
The Robert Morris indoor track & field team led the way with 22 student-athletes named to the 2018 NEC Winter Academic Honor Roll, including 12 to the 2018 NEC Winter Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Junior
Lilly Harnish, who was named the 2018 NEC Most Outstanding Field Performer in the jumps at the 2018 NEC Indoor Track & Field Championships, has maintained a 3.45 cumulative GPA as a finance major. Two Colonials also own perfect 4.00 GPA's for the track & field team, including freshmen
Sami Felton and
Harley Stuebgen. Felton studies engineering, while Stuebgen is a marketing major.
The RMU women's basketball team placed 11 student-athletes on the 2018 NEC Winter Academic Honor Roll, including six on the 2018 NEC Winter Commissioner's Honor Roll. Rookies Nina Augustin, a management major, and Laura Carrasco, who studies mathematics, own perfect 4.00 GPA's.
Senior Megan Smith, who concluded her career as the program's all-time leader for career starts (126) and is one of four student-athletes in program history to eclipse career totals of 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 200 assists, owns a 3.76 GPA as a sport management major.
The Robert Morris men's basketball team placed three student-athletes, including graduate transfer Ronnie Gombe and Xavier Williams and junior Seth Rouse. A manufacturing engineering major, Rouse has compiled a 3.45 cumulative GPA.
